Are you dealing with flood waters?
If you are dealing with flood waters follow these 6 steps immediately:
- Call Premier Flood Restoration at 719-268-1611 right away! The longer the water lingers the more damage it does. Time is of the essence.
- Find the source of water and if possible (and safe) stop it. More water means more damage.
- Remove any items that may be prone to water damage. Files and other paper objects can be permanently destroyed by water so remove those first. Furniture can leave permanent stains on wet carpet and should be removed as soon as possible. If you can’t move the furniture put the legs in plastic Tupperware containers or on plastic sheets.
- Mop up any water on hard surfaces. Wood and tile can absorb the water and cause costly damage if not removed quickly. Do not attempt to remove water in the carpet with a shop vac. They are not strong enough to remove the water and will make my job harder.
- Turn on ceiling fans and crack windows in affected areas if weather permits.
- The most important thing is to stay safe. If the water is contaminated do not go near it. Just call 719-268-1611 as soon as possible.
